Happy Saint Patrick’s Day! This time last year, I had just started wearing my new Alex & Ani Shamrock charm paired with all the pastels & florals. However, trends are much different this spring. Today’s post is my attempt to style the 70’s comeback trends we saw in all the NYFW shows last month. It is definitely a departure from my current obsession with neutrals, though the olive green doesn’t stray too far from my comfort zone.

All the fast fashion stores, like H&M, Forever, Lulu’s, are full of bell sleeves, flared hemlines, and 70’s color palettes. To be honest, I love the 70’s burnt oranges, mustards, and olive green tones more so for Fall. They match the colors of the landscape perfectly during the autumn season. While I’m not fully on board with this color scheme for the spring, I ended up loving this outfit, especially on St. Patrick’s Day. These suede fringe booties are very on trend and warm for the cooler spring mornings lately. The tassels are a nice feminine contrast to the khaki green cargo shirt.

Creativity is one of the main reasons I’m so intrigued with fashion & style. This look is a great example of following “trends” while remaining true to personal style. It’s possible! I find that trends are always best executed when keeping in mind body shape, occasion, and just personal preferences in general. How have you been incorporating the 70’s vibe into your personal style this spring? Would love to read your thoughts or tips in the comments below! Xo.
