There’s a horrific heat wave striking the east coast right now. It’s just about all I can do to find clothes light enough to wear without being entirely sheer. This dress is borrowed from my younger sister (I like to think of her room as my “second closet”). I love the ruffle detail at the top. Typically I’m strongly opposed to strapless dresses on myself because I have fairly prominent shoulders from years of swim team. However, the ruffles really soften the harsh cut at the chest.
The gold and tan leather belt cinches in the waist, which is important on a long, maxi dress like this. I paired it with my comfy, tan, leather rainbow sandals & a high, curled pony tail. Might need to stock up on more flowy, maxis like this since the heat wave is expected to linger for several more days. Wearing Essie’s “Cute as a Button” coral nail polish. It’s the perfect, bright pink for summer.
