J. Crew’s Fall 2013 Lookbook is packed with great numbers for next season. A lot of really popular trends from this summer have been carried over into their next season. I love the way they’ve updated them for the cooler temperatures. Check them out below!
Drawstring Pants & Holographic –
Drawstring (“MC Hammer”) Pants are my go-to bottom on chilly days when I’m getting dressed for work but hoping to just be comfy. The silk material feels effortless but looks elegant when paired with a structured top or quality blouse. They’ve paired this bright look with some fun holographic heels.
Glittery Brocade –
A true J. Crew look, this doesn’t necessarily incorporate any trends from recent seasons. However, it breathes new lief into J. Crew’s preppy but eclectic aesthetic.
Paired Separates –
Taking a note from last season, this paired top & bottom are preppy, with a bit of shine that adds some extra polish. Holographic heels paired again here.
Mixed Prints –
I’m all about this trend. It’s so interesting to see how different women feature contrasting prints together in their wardrobe. It can be really tastefully done (as well as horrifically done). Obviously, J. Crew has this look mastered. Also loving that we’re bringing back the layered scarf for fall this year. The ankle-strap heels will continue to be a staple in next season’s looks.
Monochrome –
Another trend that I’m head over heels for – monochrome. It’s just such a classy, mature look. Simplicity is the key to style.
