This weekend I was so happy to be heading up to New York City to visit Sandra for her birthday. Friday night, after a wonderful dinner with my sweet in PA, I was excited for another fun weekend night with a little more dancing on Saturday.
We arrived in Soho on Saturday night just after missing a terrible rain storm to dine at David Burke Kitchen at the base of the James Hotel. It’s a rooftop garden on the third floor of the hotel – complete with an outdoor bar, cabanas, and plenty of dining tables. The drinks came out in mason jars and the food was very flavorful. Major complaint about the staff however. Our waiter was snobby and rude the entire meal. After rolling his eyes when we ordered just 1 drink instead of 2 for the dinner, I had really experienced enough of his hostility and it put a damper on the remainder of the meal every time he wandered past our table.
Here I am with the beautiful birthday girl at The DL on Delancey and Ludlow streets Saturday night. The club is several stories tall, with an open roof letting the light peek in from what was a pretty moon-light sky. The rooftop level featured a couple bars and a pool in the center of the dance floor surrounded by a DJ, palm trees, and comfy lounge sections. It’s always fun to try a new spot in the city adn this one definitely did not disappoint. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, downtown, dancy spot on the weekends.
Outfit of the Night was a pair of tropical printed shorts from Forever 21, a sheer black blouse with a lace-open back, black pointed heels from BCBG, and I threw my hair up in a ballet bun to beat the heat. Sidenote, BCBG seems to make the MOST comfortable heels. They always look so fantastic that one would assume they kill, but I’ve found my most cozy heels for work & nights out have always been by BCBG. Definitely not the most price-conscious brand but you could definitely do much worse and they’re frequently in TJ Maxx and Marshall’s at a discounted price.
Hope you all had wonderful weekends! Leave a comment with your Instagram account below and I’d love to follow & keep in touch!
xoxo,
