The Lilly Pulitzer Fall 2013 Lookbook has just arrived today! I’m really impressed with how the brand is reinventing itself in recent years. I always associated their style with the typical pink & green prep look. However, I was pleasantly surprised to see lots of wonderful black & white looks as well as some great navy dresses and simple, silk blouses.
While I can’t seem to get on board with the bold patterns that Lilly is famously known for, I’m loving their clean-lined approach to the fall collection. There are lots of great pieces in here that could be styled for a number of occasions – particularly work & going out ensembles which I think make up the majority of my style needs.
Basically obsessed with this cream cardigan. This is so perfect for fall. I love soft, relaxed sweaters like this. The way they’ve styled this with a skinny pant and pretty jewelry is great for a chill, fall day. I could also see this working as a perfect cover-up towards the end of the summer when the nights get cool.
This white monochrome look is so chic! Not really a fan of pearls, but clearly they work with this head-to-toe white outfit. The sheen on the pants really make them sparkle and transform a basic pair of capris into a stylish piece for dining out, a special event, etc.
This navy, silk dress is perfect for the majority of office settings. The cinch at the waist and the three-quarter length sleeves keep this dress youthful.
Another great example of how a subtle shimmer can instantly add some polish to a basic pant. I think this gold sparkle will be such a fun staple to have during the neutral-colored months of fall.
