Nothing says classic quite like the Black & White color combo. I’ve been really surprising myself with how drawn to this combination I’ve been lately. Especially considering it was only just a few years ago in high school that I wore pink nearly every day. Funny that my personal style has evolved to quite the opposite of what it so concretely was before.
But I found this article today on Elle Magazine Online about the Black & White Color Trend. It seems I’m not the only one obsessing over this chic color palette lately. Major designers have all fallen for this look as well – seen by their meticulous focus on black, white & combo pieces for the spring/summer 2013 collections. We’re even seeing a focus on these colors in the fall 2013 ready to wear lines. I think that makes much more sense though, since people gravitate towards darker colors during the colder months typically.
It’s definitely a bit surprising to see the popularity of black and white this summer. But it really compliments some of the mod styles and clean lines which are really regaining their trendiness this season as well. These are some of my favorite pieces in a mix of both high-street & low-priced labels to demonstrate how widely accepted this look is at the moment!
