As promised in my last Nike Workout Outfit post, here it is – a review on the Nike Pro Compression shorts. This is my first ever pair and I love the pretty pink/yellow spring pattern. There are a lot of places to get womens workout shorts so it is totally up to you find out what makes you feel comfortable but for me, it’s these.
Why I’m Obsessed –
- Dri-Fit – All of the Nike Pro apparel is made of the patented Dri-Fit material. It wicks away sweat from the body, keeping you cool even by mile 5 under the summer sun. I definitely still get ridiculously drenched with sweat wI do them, overall this material keeps me feeling much lighter and cooler than some of my other workout gear.
- Stretch – The compression stretch on these shorts is perfectly crafted so that they won’t ride up. I also love that if I wear these to the gym and do leg lifts, planks, etc., they stretch and fit snug around my legs so that you can’t see straight up them.
- 3″ inseam – The Pro apparel comes in a longer 7 inch length, but I think this version stops at a very flattering point on your leg. And bonus – I normally end up with subtle tan lines on the middle of my thigh after a longer run so I love that this style is a bit shorter than most workout shorts. Allows some sun to reach a bit higher than usual!
- Flat seams – The very thin stitching along the seams helps prevent against chaffing and those pesky indentations that appear on your skin after wearing super tight clothing. That’s always one of my biggest irritations with skinny jeans. These shorts are just so well thought-out!
I’m just so impressed with the attention to detail and the overall fit. I always notice that I workout harder when I’m as comfortable as possible in what I’m wearing. Since the Pro Collection includes everything from sports bras to tanks, leggings & capris, I seriously can’t wait to stock up on everything. Maybe one of each for every day of the week… ;)
