The wrap-around skirt is such a cute trend for the fall. I love skirts because they look so feminine but these skirts look much more edgy than the typical mini or pencil skirt because of their overlapping panels in the front.
Below are some of my high-end favorites of the moment. All from Net-a-Porter so definitely on the pricey side but I think seeing them done tastefully by trusted designers gives just the right style inspiration to incorporate it in a more budget-friendly way for our every day looks. That’s definitely my overall approach to style. Observe how the big names are doing (think style icons like Olivia Palermo or designers like Diane Von Furtstenberg) and then decide how to integrate their ideas into your own look and budget. It’s always best to aim high, fake it til you make it, etc. because by only looking at designers in my price point often limits my perspective of emerging trends.
KENZO embroidered wool blend skirt –
Doesn’t this skirt just look so cozy? I love the bold read, almost tribal looking, stripe. It almost looks like a nod to color blocking and will go with so many tops and booties this season.
KENZO cobra metallic jacquard and brocade wrap skirt –
OBSESSED. This is absolutely my favorite wrap around mini skirt EVER. The gold metallic and black color palette is so beautiful. I would wear this out every weekend this fall and winter if I could! Normally I would think that the jacquard material was a bit matronly, but I think it looks so young and chic for this mini skirt.
3.1 PHILLIP LIM leather mini skirt –
This one would be so gorgeous all fall long. I love the buttery brown color and it is the perfect length for the office. I would totally style this with a cream blouse or a ivory chunky knit sweater. It just looks so rich and well made – as are all the pieces from the Phillip Lim collections! You just can’t go wrong.
