The Rachel Zoe Resort Collection 2014 is so typical Rachel Zoe – and I say that in the best possible way. I love Rachel’s easy/breezy Cali look with the touch of glamour. Rachel is a huge fan of the 70s looks which is usually fairly obvious in how she styles herself. Her she is below in a 70s inspired dress she personally approved for a photo layout in her book.
Rachel remained true-to-self in her new resort collection for 2014. The dresses are long and flowy (perfect for a slender girl like herself).
This beaded skirt and loose-fitting top are also quintessentially Rachel and make for a versatile wardrobe as well.
I also noticed a trend through her collection as well as a few other designers. The overlapping hemline is such a visually interesting style and adds a bit of edge to what might be a fairly standard jacket here.
Again Rachel transforms a edgy black leather skirt into even more a statement piece with the criss-crossing hemline and zippered front.
Another one of my favorite designers, Karen Walker, also incorporated this trend into her resort 2014 collection. Seen here in a flowy, navy skirt, the overlapping hem looks more relaxed but equally interesting.
There are so many fun looks and designers I would love to review from the resort season! I’m finding more and more designers are accepting the darker color palette for resort wear which is really interesting and new!
