It’s been a beautiful spring in Philadelphia this year. The cherry blossoms bloomed a bit later than normal, but the petals are now starting to fall and cover the streets and sidewalks making for the most picturesque strolls through town. Last weekend, we had the opportunity to get up early and enjoy the gorgeous weather before most people had ventured out for brunch, etc. The quiet sun on weekend mornings is my absolute favorite. The softest light of the day seems to shine between sunrise and around 9:30ish, so I love when I’m able to wake up early enough to soak it all in. On that day, we had walked to brunch at Marathon on the Square and then wandered through Rittenhouse Square over to the Anthropologie flagship store. So many beautiful neutral pieces in there at the moment! It was so difficult to resist splurging on this incredible knit maxi skirt and these darling linen Seastripe Shorts in a simple black stripe fabric.
I loved the easy shirt dress outfit I had thrown on that morning. A basic piece like that is perfect for this time of year as it looks so polished and can be dressed up for work with a blazer and heels or more casually for weekend wear as I had styled it here. I linked as many of the pieces I’m wearing below and shared lots of similar items that I’m currently loving. Hope you’re enjoying spring and getting to explore through your city or town while the weather is at its prime! xx – KMK
